About This Workshop
Learn how to knit the Heartlace Collar — a romantic detachable knitted collar designed to elevate simple outfits with soft texture, lace details and an elegant handmade finish.
This workshop is perfect for makers who want to learn how to work from the neckline outward, create a structured ribbed section, shape a soft flowing flounce and finish the collar with delicate knitted ties.
You’ll learn how to read the pattern, work increases, understand lace construction and create a lightweight accessory that can be worn over sweaters, dresses, shirts or blazers.
Materials & Workshop Experience
For this class, you’ll work with two strands held together: one strand of kid silk mohair and one strand of fingering-weight yarn.
Recommended materials include soft mohair, fingering-weight yarn, circular needles in several sizes, stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle and a crochet hook for finishing.
Materials can be purchased separately through Ellyn Yarn. We’ll help you choose yarns and tools before class.
